Benefits of an After School Program

After school programs are often the only option for kids with working parents, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t have additional benefits besides a place to sit and wait. Our Afterschool Program provides an environment that is safe, comfortable, and has a lot of interest areas.

 

The after-school environment includes a variety of indoor and outdoor space and is equipped with age appropriate materials and supplies. Often times, the most fun time in the day for a child is outdoor activities. In our large, fenced playgrounds, our after school kids feel freedom in a relaxed atmosphere.

 

We also like to focus on learning after school. Children are given opportunities to participate in activities that teach them new concepts and skills that support their school day. Our staff is available to assist children with homework-related tasks, which allows them to get their homework out of the way while the material is fresh on their mind and gives them more time to relax and unwind at home.

 

Other related activities may include; read-a louds, buddy reading, books, story writing, creative dramatics, journal keeping, and games that enhance children's problem solving skills, deductive reasoning skills, and math related skills.Our well-trained staff promotes strategies to guide children in the development of communication, problem solving, self-help, and conflict resolution skills.

Our after school program is available all year round, during school time, no school days, most holidays and summer time.We provide flexible scheduling and extended hours of care including Saturday. Kids & Company school-age program attempts to meet the needs of children and their families enrolled in our program.

Going back to basics of after school programs, keeping children engaged in activities and allowing them to socialize within a safe environment is a big benefit for parents with school-age children. You can rest easy knowing that you children are being cared for while you’re still at work, instead of worrying about them getting home on their own.  

 

Along with the educational games and fun that happens at the three Kids & Company locations in Orlando, FL, we also encourage fun that is just for fun’s sake. Kids Club is game room for the exclusive use of the school-age children to have fun. It includes arcades, table games, props, music and much more.

 

Kids & Company offers so much more than the typical Orlando daycare. Free hot meals, free PM transportation, after school care until 7pm, and we even have the option for Saturday and night care at our Curry Ford location.
